TEAMS ‘LEARN THE ROPES’
THROUGH NEW ALLIANCE

Blue Horizons has teamed up with North East based Leadership Excellence to offer an exciting range of team and leadership development activities centred on the high and low ropes course at Thainstone, near Inverurie.

Mhairi Cousins, HR Development Manager of Leadership Excellence explains;

‘The ropes course can be used in many different ways within either short or extensive development programmes. Typically, even within a short programme, our qualified facilitators will help participants break down barriers, improve communication, ease integration between departments and generally help people work better together. It is also important to note that we operate a ‘challenge by choice’ principle which allows people to be challenged but only within the boundaries that are comfortable to them.’

Blue Horizons can now enhance clients’ development experiences by integrating ropes courses sessions within programmes. The company’s Managing Director, Jackie Waring comments;

‘We can see opportunities not only to use the facility for team building events but also to integrate sessions within strategy workshops, leadership activities and within longer term change management programmes where clients are interested in generating positive cultural change. Furthermore, we can now help companies and organisations measure the impact of their development activities by co-ordinating their programmes alongside running our ‘Culture Pulse©’ measurement tool.’
